Contract Learning or In-Class Courses
NWLS individualizes education at an excellent value! Our goal is to charge no more that it cost to educate students in local public school systems.  We do it for less. In 2010, in a local public school system, it cost $56.16 per day to educate each student. At NWLS, the cost is as low as $34.33 per day for many full-time students.

Tuition for a full-time student ranges from $6, 180 to $9,780 a school year. Dual enrolled or part-time students start at $240 per month. Installment payments are available for all students.

Other than an application fee for customized courses, there are no additional charges.  We supply textbooks, academic materials including online courses, transcripts, and consultations for no cost.  For students enrolled in a contract learning course, both the study and math labs are also free.

Tuition Models and Options

*A student may take a single course if we offer it in a small classroom setting, i.e. Spanish,  at a cost of $240 per month or $1200 per semester.  If more students are interested in a group setting, more classes will be added. A one-on-one teacher, customized single course’s tuition is $360 per month or $1800 per semester.
** Combines customized classes with online/independent study courses.
These courses that require students to be more independent range from $190 to $300 per course (.5 credit). Depending upon the need, amount of support, and time the student needs to complete the course, the cost may vary.

Credit Recovery Courses  Online, Indep. Study, Night School Registration Form 2011-12

    • Online Courses: $170. Courses must be finished in 9 weeks.  If a student does not complete the course by the deadline, re-enrollment and tuition is required.
      • Independent Study: $170.
      • In-Class Courses:  $270 – 360.  These classes are offered once during the summer and winter months.
  • Online: $230-300.  These courses must be finished by the completion date which is usually 18 weeks. If a student does not complete the course by the end of the semester, re-enrollment and tuition is required.
  • Independent student: $230-270.
  • Additional Support
    • Many students benefit from individual support.  Regular meetings can be scheduled to promote success and completion of any regular or credit recovery course.  Students may meet weekly and a few times per semester.  We accommodate the need of the student.  $35 per half hour meeting.

    A one-time $20 enrollment fee is required each year.

    Student who qualify for Free Lunches receive 25-50% off online and independent study courses. Verification is required.
