NWLS offers many services that also include full-time and part-time enrollment where students may attend classes at both NWLS and their neighborhood school. Utilizing innovative resources such as contract learning, online courses, independent study, and traditional classroom settings, we match our educational options with the student needs.
Full-time tuition starts as low as $664 per month. It blends all our academic options into an individualized education that helps students experience success and prepares them for the future.
Part-time tuition starts at $240 per month for a small, in-class course and $360 per semester for an individualized, contract learning course. There is a $200 application fee that applies to in-class and contract learning students. We supply most textbooks at no charge. Enrollment is renewed each semester.

Contract Learning
Washington State educational laws allow students to earn high school credit by tracking academic learning hours. In the traditional school, earning credit is determined by “seat-time” a student is in class and the product they generate. Under Alterative Learning Education laws, credit is earned by tracking learning “content time” and the assessment of their work. In other words, instead of a student earning credit by attending class, Contract Learning allows a student to earn credit by time spent studying and learning. This gives students much more flexibility.
Many more high schools, colleges, and even businesses are using contract learning as an option for learning. Here are some links for more information:
