Enrolling myself at NWLS this year was one of the best decisions I ever made. Not only did it help me tremendously with my academic skills, it really taught me a lot about myself as well. This year has given me the opportunity to discover ways of learning that work best for me and prove that I can be a successful student and also enjoy being in school… I honestly didn’t believe I’d ever make it this far, especially in just one year. – K.M.

We just returned from our vacation up north, and I wanted to thank you again for how you work with the kids. When ____ felt she couldn’t make the grade, she was quite listless and grouchy. After finishing with a flurry following your encouragements, she was energetic, hopeful, encouraging, motivated. Thank you for all of your help this summer. You and your staff have helped us turn a stressful family situation into something very positive. You were the first teacher I’ve had that really wanted me to succeed at what I’m doing and has helped me each step of the way. When I told you I wanted to graduate high school with my class, you understood and made it your number one priority to encourage and assist me through each semester of school, and you never gave up on me. If one way didn’t work, you tried your best to make something else work in a way that would make me succeed. – M.S.

Before NWLS, I didn’t know how I could possibly juggle and accomplish everything that I wanted in high school… I was very involved in my school and various sports teams including 2 varsity HS teams and 1 national traveling team and I just plain didn’t have time to study some days when I had multiple practices or traveling to tournaments. Your specialized education program gave me flexibility to take two classes away from high school. I was challenged and yet given the ability to work at my own pace, allowing me to pour it on when I had more time and back off when I was limited. Thanks to Bob and NWLS, not only did I do well in my studies, but I was able to accomplish great things in high school athletics and have been able to go on to play college volleyball. Bob has been not only a good teacher and mentor, but with great respect, I call Bob my friend. Thank you Bob and NWLS!!! – C.V.
